Nissan making some safety changes

Larson Auto Group brings details of some of Nissan’s newest safety technologies!
First on the list is the new “Acceleration Suppression for Pedal Misapplication.” What this does is watch the driver to see if they intentionally accelerate the vehicle. This system uses four monitors that can detect ojcets within a close proximity to the vehicle, and limit acceleration if needed.
Next is the “Predictive Forward Collision Warning System.” This system detects the speed of vehicles in front of it and informs the driver of a possible crash and tightens the seat belts accordingly.
Last we have the “Multi-Sensing System with Rear Camera.” This module makes use of the previously mentioned monitors for the spotting of things like vehicles, pedestrians, and any special road conditions. Drivers are warned of any possible collisions, blind spots, lane departures and moving objects. Expect these safety changes to be made in vehicles starting in 2012.
