2013 Scion FR-S Named Best Sports Car for the Money
When someone mentions “sports car” in the U.S., people do not usually think of the Scion brand. Well, that changes for the 2013 model year with the new 2013 Scion FR-S. This Affordable Sports Car just earned US News’ ‘Best Sports Car for the Money’ award for 2013 in its category.
With a starting price of only $24,500, it’s amazing what the new Scion FR-S in Tacoma offers. this high-ranking roadster is powered by a surprising four-cylinder engine, providing 200 horsepower and 151 lb ft of torque, while offering 30 MPG capabilities. The engine is paired to a six-cylinder sporty transmission.
In their review of the new Scion FR-S, Edmunds.com says, “It all starts under the hood. The FR-S’ engine is mounted low and as far back in the engine bay as possible. Combined with its low center of gravity and a performance-tuned suspension, critics say these attributes make the FR-S one of the best-handling sports cars on the market.”
